Evaluation of Meeting

Scouters enjoyed the active, hands-on Pentagon. More activities like this should be organized. The turnout was disappointing. A well-organized call-around is essential for good participation.

Scouters felt good progress had been made at the meeting. Getting a good turnout of people is an on-going challenge. It was suggested that meetings could include an active component, like a challenge, or guest speakers, such as a representative of the GRCA speaking about conservation projects.

Those in attendance were disappointed by the small turnout at the meeting. It was suggested that the meeting dates be fixed at the beginning of each year. It was noted that attendance is always good when there is a phone blitz before the meeting. The only drawback is that this takes much more time then sending an email as is down now.

Attendees were happy with the timing of the meeting (gather at 18:45 for 19:00 start) and appreciative that it had opened with the reading from BP and the Scout Law. Meetings should open with something of this nature, perhaps a song. Scouters noted the effectiveness of the free format. Larger print should be used on any future handouts. The donuts were good. It was agreed that troops should rotate the provision of refreshments. Jim volunteered to take care of the next meeting.
