The NW Scouters' Club is a co-operative of Scout Troops. Representatives of member Scout Troops gather to share ideas and experience, plan joint activities, and pursue other projects of mutual benefit.
Very positive sharing session. The meeting started and ended on time. Long range planning will have a basic program in place by the Club.
Those in attendance were disappointed by the small turnout at the meeting. It was suggested that the meeting dates be fixed at the beginning of each year. It was noted that attendance is always good when there is a phone blitz before the meeting. The only drawback is that this takes much more time then sending an email as is down now.
Scouters were pleased with the variety of activities planned and the sharing of resources in the Pentagon. The Club program provides many options for troops to participate.
Scouters were particularly pleased with the sharing during the Pentagon, in particular, the ideas for future Pentagons. The meeting started and ended on time and advanced planning is in place for an active Club program.
Scouters felt that the meeting went well. Visibility for Scouting should be a regular topic on the agenda.
Scouters were pleased with the meeting, the facilities, and the background music provided live by the Ebytown Brass.
Scouters were pleased with the accomplishments of the meeting, consensus achieved, prompt start, pacing, increased participation, and that it started with a Scouting activity. Time allocation should be attached to the agenda for the next meeting.
Scouters would have liked to have seen more people at the meeting. Several people volunteered to call around to encourage people to come out. Scouters should consider bringing a friend to the next meeting.
Attendees were happy with the timing of the meeting (gather at 18:45 for 19:00 start) and appreciative that it had opened with the reading from BP and the Scout Law. Meetings should open with something of this nature, perhaps a song. Scouters noted the effectiveness of the free format. Larger print should be used on any future handouts. The donuts were good. It was agreed that troops should rotate the provision of refreshments. Jim volunteered to take care of the next meeting.
